Custard




As a variation, this custard can be cooked in four 6 oz. custard cups: Microwave 5 to 8 minutes on the medium setting (50 percent power) or until almost set in the center. Rearrange the cups occasionally as they cook, and remove each one as they finish cooking. Then add a drop or two of maple flavoring or serve with jam or a fruit sauce.

Ingredients

Preparation Instructions
1. Place milk in 1 1/2 qt. bowl. Microwave 3 3 1/2 minutes on High or until hot but not boiling.
2. Add remaining ingredients except nutmeg; beat well. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
3. Micowave 11 to 15 minutes on Medium (50 percent power), or until almost set in center. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
